Furniture worth keeping
Why Stressless Recliners Are Worth Keeping
Some chairs earn their place in your home for years. Stressless is built to be one of them.
A chair that becomes part of everyday life
The one everyone has an opinion about
Most furniture gets replaced when trends change. Stressless recliners tend to earn a different kind of relationship — they become the chair.
The one that's always in the same spot, the one everyone in the house has an opinion about, the one that gets passed down or moved to a new house instead of left behind.
Long-term comfort
Built to adjust to you
Stressless recliners are built around adjustable comfort — the Plus⁺ system responds to the person sitting in the chair rather than asking them to adjust to it.
That kind of engineering is part of why so many Stressless owners hang onto their chairs well past the point where a cheaper recliner would have been replaced.
What makes an older chair worth evaluating
Is Your Chair a Good Candidate?
A few signs it might be worth a Tune-Up:
- The chair still feels structurally solid, even if the leather or function has changed over time
- It's a chair with sentimental value — inherited, gifted, or tied to a specific memory
- The comfort is still there, even if the finish or function needs attention
- You're on the fence between caring for it and replacing it, and want an honest opinion

Often, yes — Stressless chairs are built to last, and a Tune-Up can help address leather condition and function on many older chairs. Call us to talk through your specific chair.
Does the chair need to have been purchased at 2 Danes?
No — the Stressless Chair Tune-Up is open to Stressless owners whether the chair was purchased at 2 Danes or elsewhere.
What does the Tune-Up cost?
The Stressless Chair Tune-Up is $68. Parts and labor for any replacement-part work are quoted separately if available.
What if my chair isn't a good candidate?
We'll tell you honestly if we don't think the Tune-Up will meaningfully help, before doing any paid work — and we're happy to help you look at current Stressless models instead.
