Why it looks different
It does not tell you there is only one correct way to sit.
The saddle-shaped seat lets the legs fall naturally to either side. The open back makes it possible to face forward, turn sideways or lean against a different part of the chair.
The horizontal wings are not conventional armrests beside the seat. When you turn or lean back, they can give an arm somewhere to rest without enclosing the sides of the chair.
That open shape is why the Capisco can feel especially natural at a desk that changes height—or for work that requires you to turn, reach or change position often.
The right answer is usually in the sit test.

The standard 200 mm lift provides a published seat-height range of approximately 470–655 mm, or about 18.5–25.8 inches. HÅG recommends an optional taller 265 mm lift when the chair will be used with a desk in a higher position.
The correct lift matters. Bring your desk height—or a photo and measurement of your workspace—so the chair and work surface can be considered together.
Conventional seated work
